I am thinking about switching out the pedestal on my captains chair for a longer one. I don't mind a manual one. I saw the posts on the 210 the part # the same for the 242?
Are you happy with this mod? Was it worth it and why? Thanks.

I'm glad I did it on my 230....I have a manual one and just set the height I like and have left it there.

@Julian How is that different from the stock one that is on my boat?

The last stock ones I saw were a fixed post. I have an adjustable height Garlick post.

I recently added the Garlick to mine as well. Well worth it for me. Puts me just above the windshield vs t the top which was causing me to strain my neck to see out in front.

I put the 17" fixed on mine. It was a great mod. Cam.

Anyone have the 242? Is it the same size everyone else is using?

Anyone have a part# for the Garlick post?

Just wondering if you are enjoying either the Garlick or Mainstay. Looking to replace the pedestal with one that gets my line of sight above the windshield when it's warm and adjusts below the windshield it's cooler.

I purchased adjustable, and I rarely adjust. I think another inch or 2 would be even better. I got the 9-12 i think on my 230
Edit:
Sorry, i got

75636 - GARELICK 12IN - 15IN GAS RISE PEDESTAL

Two more inches would have been perfect.

It still feels a little loose, not totally solid.

If i had a do over, for sure.

For now, I may wait for free money before i replace it with this.

I thought about purchasing the Springfield Mainstay. I have read some good things about on this forum. I believe it is adjustable from 14.5-19 inches.

Here is a screen shot from the other site/side. As mentioned above, I just set the height once and forgot about it so the non gas assist Version was perfect for me but not my wife. If you think you will have multiple users consider the gas assist version instead, twice the money but twice the functionality, in some situations as well.

Manual... makes me think there is a power one. A power one would be awesome lol. Sounds like @Mainah next mod.
