Ok I know that I should Know this but, what is the stock bag sizes. I'm looking to add some weight this year and need to know what the rear seat bags are. We both surf starboard side. I have added some dead weight to the port side as in 3 60lb amg batteries. We also seem to be slaking in the friends department so I will be adding a few bags to the deck of the boat.

I was think a new 800lb under rear port seat or the Fly high 1180lbs @ 88"L x 19"w x 19"H all tho it is 10" or so to long. I'm also looking to add 440lb x 2 in the bow. I know I still need the custom stern bag but, I feel I still need to simulate that we have people weight on board.

Are you wanting capacity or physical size of the bags?

Weight and or size. I could pull the center bag out and inflate it but the two rear bags are a pain to unhook the pluming. I found a deal on 3 800lb bags and might just roll with that.

I was just in the starboard storage compartment on top of the bag. With my feet on the back wall of the compartment the bag was about a foot shorter than me. So roughly 5ft long. When is full of water, it's about a 14-15" square.

So the rear port and strbd bags are roughly 11,000 cu in. - or 48+/- gals of water - or 400ish lbs.

The ski locker bag is tightly the same diameter and about 6ft long.

So it's roughly 16,600 cu in. - or 72+/- gals - or 600ish lbs.

Which adds up to the 1400lbs yamaha claims a 242x has.

** Disclaimer**
I haven't actually measured the bags, these are estimations based on my fat butt squeezing into the compartments.

Thanks that is what I was thinking on the sizes too Thanks.

What is your end goal? That is a lot of extra ballast. When it is just the wife and our 2 kids the only thing we have added is 200 lbs of lead weight in the nose and the transom bag.

I'm just curious how long it's going to take to fill that much ballast.

Well reading of what you carry in ballast and crew I was shooting for the moon Normally it is the wife,6yr , 3yr old and me. And I was wrong it was two 800lb and a 540lb.

When I have crew on the boat I normally have to readjust weight settings. I will not fill certain bags to achieve the same wave.
