I again everyone.

i trade my 2010 AR240 for a 2022 252 SE

my 2010 had the trust vector on it when I bought it so I don't how it handle without it.

I put my boat in a dock in a marina. I always park my boat in reverse

i have to to about 5-8 minutes of no wake in a canal before reaching the lake.

do They make a big difference on the newer models ?

will it handle like my 2010 without it (articulated keel). ???

I personally have TVs on my 252SE. I agree with the above that you don't need it, but even with the additions to the newer boats (keels, new reverse bucket design with more thrust) the TVs still made a noticeable improvement in handling. I'd chalk it up as nice to have, not need to have.

Need is a strong word! Do you NEEEED cooled seats in your car? Not really. Is it nice? Heck yeah

Love the CJs on my 252SE. Boat drives like a big ass jet ski lol

I will probably try first without it and maybe add later

I agree you should see if you only need at the dock slow speed assistance or does your new larger boat need a lot more from the steering system like tempered aluminum adjustable steering fins that let you decide the influence level and tempered aluminum top fins that add extra slow speed assistance . Also take a close look at the position of the fins and how they interact with the original setup.
Do you need a second tie rod for balance and redundancy in the system, can you maintain steerage of the boat while rapidly decelerating , can you handle waves and wind and strong currents in no wake and high speed modes.
Can you make fast turns without speed bleed off. Remember price features and benefits should be how you make your decision .
Do your research because it is a very important decision, if the system you choose won't save you from a collision or from running over a downed Are you concerned about water sport participant safety ?
If you slow down rapidly while turning when retrieving them you can either run them over or suck up the rope if you can't avoid it.
Also look at the water spray situation behind the boat, will the system you are choosing make the wake cleaner or create additional water spray? And the configuration of the parts is also important , are the edges both leading and trailing smooth and rounded to help avoid possible as well as reduce the possibility of the fins digging into the ground when backing in shallow water or pointed and angled and lower close to the ground making the possibility more possible. And what about providing a quicker hole shot and a smoother ride in chop all available with my deluxe versions. Also keep in mind there are several choices with model specific steering not just one size fit all. I promise you the choice you make is a lot more important than you may realize. So yes go out and drive the boat stock then decide exactly what features and benefits you need from an aftermarket steering system then the choice should be obvious.

I went with the cobra jets. Better low speed handling and they are good for keeping the boat planted while doing turns at speed for watersports.
