Problem getting enough push to go hopeless. 2021 ar250. Ride steady, Yamaha wave shaper, Fat sac 800 rear bag. 450 center locker bag.

I'm currently riding a 63" Obrien Royale

Considering the 65" El Guapo or a 69" land lock.

I have a 800lb bag I could inconvenience the rest of the boat with by putting it in the center above the fuel tank

Wondering if a bigger board will help. The land lock and the boss hoss have same volume. (Land lock is longer; el guapo is wider) But the volume of my current royale really is only 10ish% smaller

Very Experienced snow boarder. Some long board ocean experience and wakeboard. Can get up no problem and can get some push forward but basically kissing the boat to get a decent push feeling

I am currently looking at the boss boss v2 it’s 5’4” and 25” wide I am 240lbs, I currently have the 5’3” coaster and it’s just not enough for me to even think about letting go of the rope

Update. I was able to purchase a used 56" boss hoss and went to use it this weekend and was able to get hopeless. Kids had a blast on it too. Highly recommend. I had ordered a land lock and for comparison. The boss hoss just seems a lot faster which is good for saying on the wave. Likely due to how much surface area there is below it.

I have the coaster as well that came with my wake shaper. But the boss hoss is where it's at for big guys

I'm 6'2 and 280. I surf the 5'9" Landlock currently. 2022 AR250, 1175lb bag on the upper swim deck, 575lb bag on the surf side rear seat, Yamaha Wakebooster.

The board has the area/volume to keep me going ropeless for sure, but it seems to mostly just want to go straight. Did you think the Boss Hoss allowed you to carve and move around more?
