I have a 2018 212x, 35 hours on it. I have noticed that in between running the boat for a few days and all battery switches off the batteries are still slowly draining to 8V. I noticed today that the red “2nd battery charging” light is always on even with all switches off. Somebody please help me understand what is going on. This week I started taking turns putting my only trickle charger on each battery every 12 hours or so.

I had a problem exactly as you describe when I first got my boat. I took it back to the dealer and they had to work with Yamaha to find the source if the problem (a crossed somewhere in a wiring harness)

I was afraid it may not be that simple of a fix. I’m going to do a little wire hunting on my own, but I may only get so far before I take it to the dealer.

Did you ever figure this out?

Yes, replaced the bad battery and I'm not getting low voltage issues. However, the 2nd battery charge light is on, even after both new batteries are fully charged. It probably needs the fix as others have described, but not causing an issue now other than seeing the 2nd charge light on. I've been doing many other small updates to the boat and put this at the back of my list since I've anchored it for 6+ hours w/ music and no issues restarting.
