Good to know, I just got a set but haven't tried to use them on the screws yet. Did you us them with a drill or by hand when they stripped? The tapping down recommendation seems like it might help to prevent the stripping.Thanks BigT, this was the kit I got from Amazon. I tried to use them and they seemed to strip the bit heads. Reading some of the other posts about undoing the fuel tank screws, I have to admit that I didn't tap them down with a hammer before trying to undo them. I also didn't use the method of loosening a little then tightening a little and so on. I'll have to give it another go, thanks for responding to my post, cheers
I've just ordered the ARES tool as per your link, looks like it should do the trick. What a pain your experience was, plenty of patience required but well worth it in the end by the look of your photos. Thanks again fro the info and thread
