4 years of Coverage, (3 years of YES), offer revised, 24 only

So I called Yamaha corporate and spoke to them about the All Boats promotion of 2.99 and 4 years of coverage free and they confirmed it is on all boats. The 500 off option is for 24 only. This ends on 8.23 and was in place last month when I purchased my 190 on the same terms.

Correct the cash incentive is only for the 24' boats. The YES is applied to all boats. I doubt anyone ever takes the cash incentive as $500 is not going to get you far in accessories or take much off your loan payment plus you'd would be better off having your dealer throw that stuff in on the deal anyways. The warranty seems the better choice which is what I suspect most people go with.

They've been running the same promo all year pretty much. The 2.99% is only for the first 60 months so this type of loan is typically catered to people who will be paying off the boat within 60 months, as the interest rate goes to 5.99% for the remaining term of the loan. I weighed my options and went with the 0 down/4.99% for 180 months promo instead as I'm not paying off the boat within 5 years and it allows for more flexibility in the long term than the other promo deals.

There are a couple of members who said the dealership told them differently regarding the extended coverage. I wanted to set the record straight regarding the coverage so others are informed about which boats are included (All). I believe one member was charged for YES when it should have been included per the promotion. I received the extended coverage at no extra cost on the SX190 on July 8th so the promotion has been running for at least that long. I intend to pay off in 5 years so I took the 2.99 for 60 deal.

Ouch! Some dealer weaseled in the *FREE* YES warranty at an additional cost to the buyer???!! I wonder what Mother Yamaha thinks of that kind of practice? Only way I could see a dealer legitimately doing that is if the buyer wasn't using Yamaha/Synchrony Financing. Sucks if they did that!

One thing you are missing is the NEW promotion (while nearly the same as old) is for August 1st-23rd. The promotion has been updated and they probably removed the 19' boats. I also had my dealer contact Yamaha about it and they told them the same thing. I have had 4 dealers now say its not valid on 19' and Yamaha confirmed.

Believe me, if it was valid, I would be all over it ;/

I spoke to Yamaha corporate personally and confirmed the 4 years of coverage is for all boats. The only difference between the old/new ad is the all boats at the top. Everything else is the same which is why I have 4 years of free coverage on my 190. Sorry man, but you have bad information

So be it. Id like to know who you talked to and have them email you the chat conversation as they log their calls. Maybe will give us some leverage. As stands, they are saying it changed to 24' boats on Aug 1st.

My dealer told me the same thing on Saturday as well. Those guys who have gotten the 3 extra yrs free in Aug are very lucky. At this point I am SOL.....

That is crazy, they changed the promotion but kept the ad from last month and only changed the header to All Boats from 19/24. Even the Yamaha reps are confused. I found a Yamaha dealer with last months deal still up.

Thats the thing. I do not think anyone has received the promotion in August. OP bought his boat in July and while the promotion LOOKS the same, it was changed August 1st. I have check with 7 dealers now in 4 states and none of them will honor it for boats sold in August under 24'.
