We hit 7000 registered members this month! When @Bruce @txav8r and I had our first call to discuss the idea of starting a new forum up we all wondered "Would it work out?"

After checking out the latest forum technology and realizing that our former home (yamahajetboaters.com) was stuck years in the past on an old and obsolete forum version, we thought that our approach of focusing on members requests and building a forum with better technology would be attractive to all. Combining that with our committee approach - to be sure no one person could go "postal", we figured we had a winning combination!

Well the numbers and the year over year growth in both members joining, and non-members simply visiting show it is working well.

All we can say is "YEE HAW!"

We haven't added many features lately...mainly because we've not had many requests. The forum has a great selection of features already.

Be sure to add a location to your profile so that you show up on our member map. It doesn't have to be specific...but does help members find one another to share ideas and tools etc.

Thank you to everyone that has helped make this home on the web the #1 place to find out all you wanted to know about Jetboating, and a great place to meet some fantastic boaters and their friends and families!

Not only are we sharing our knowledge, but we also pull together to help each other out in moments of need (be it boating or personal). I feel very proud to be a part of such a great group of people!

We just finished the May Cooper River gathering and I always tell everyone that this is really a great forum with tremendous people it is always crazy to me that when we have these gatherings or attend others that everyone always hits it off right off the bat this forum is awesome thanks for all you guys do.

This forum is the number one reason to own a jet boat. Not only has it saved me thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours at the dealer, I have made a ton of friends and constantly look forward to new posts.

Can't wait for another thousand members!

@Bill D Without this site, i would have never been to Tuscaloosa or shelbyville!!

We should be very close to if not over the 10,000 mark by the 4th Anniversary. It is important to note that those are real members as we filter for and delete false accounts.

Last summer we peaked in July with 54,197 unique IP Addresses visiting our forum so the number of readers is significantly higher than the number of registered members.

It truly is a great site. I wouldn't have bought my boat without all the inspiration and wealth of information on here.

It's not how fast you grow, it's how you grow fast.
Sorry couldn't help myself.
No matter what the url at the top says, the people on the forums makes it what it is and the admins can make or break it in one false move so good job to you guys for creating an environment that is successful!

Joined about a year ago....about the time I bought my first jetboat! Lurked around alot before, but it is truly a great site for info, insight, and friends!

I was skeptical, I think we were all a little skeptical, that we could maintain the positives from the past and leave the negatives behind. But all that discussion and truly, positive brothers in the quest. @Julian and @Bruce , you guys surpassed my expectations pretty much day one. The membership sifted through and came out with a solid base of folks committed to keeping it of the member, by the member, for the member, and those that wanted to undermine just fell by the sides as we kept growing. And providing the atmosphere and knowledge Jetboaters desired. I have to (hand) it to all of you! And...many thanks for making it possible!:winkingthumbsup"

edited to show have changed to (hand), like it should have been to begin with! by txav8r

One the one hand saved a thousand but cost several thousand on the other due to all the great ideas and mods everyone has posted. Thank you to the founding fathers for making this a success. I visit daily.

That is exactly how the Shelbyville event started 10 years ago! 4 boats and 4 families that had never met got together and had a great time sharing our love of boating and the great outdoors!
