Sorry, but a noob here when it comes to wakesurfing.

I was wondering when you fall during wakesurfing can or does the board ever fling into the cabin area since you surf so close to the boat? Just curious about the safety aspect for the passengers.

Any tips on how to prevent this from happening if it does?

If I can pick up a relatively cheap surfboard I may be trying it this summer.

Thanks

We had have the board fling up to the swim deck , but never up into the sitting area

X2 lower swim deck but not anywhere near the cabin (where everyone should be sitting--riding on the swim deck might get you pulled over)

Be careful and cover your face when you fall. I caught the tip right above my eye. 6 stitches later and a couple days rest and I was back out there. I'll spare you from the pictures.

my board has never come close to the boat when i've fallen. the falls are easy on the body too....

Our has never come close yet. Cam.

Great to hear fellas.

Cant wait to try it out and not have to worry about hurting someone if I fall.

thanks a bunch!

I've had the board hit the swim deck before but only when the rider falls backwards and kicks their feet up. That motion sends the board flying to the swim deck. Never had one land inside the cabin though.

Thanks @Silverfish

It sounds like the consensus is that it is safe for occupants inside the cockpit area. I don't want to be knocking any heads when I keep falling :hilarious:

When you fall off just make sure you cover your face or you might end up with stitches like me or worse a pirate patch.

I always cross my forearms over my face when I fall. It's been a natural reaction to falling.
