The A-70/A-75 inner slide, how the hell are you supposed to disconnect and reconnect the flexible brake line to the inner slide? This is on the 2009 MFI trailer with folding tongue.

Loosen the line where it meets the metal line Going into the frame rail. This will let it rotate to unthread it

Got it. We figured that too but that line to hose connection isn’t exposed. It’s about 2 inches down from the opening!

I had to shove it forward from back by the axle to get to it

Will check it out. Thanks!

Mine was too corroded and it loosened but not enough to separate and also would not thread back in, so I got a new assembly. That part is tricky. Also tricky was replacing the flexible hose from the new solenoid to the rigid tube in the trailer tube.

Happy to report forward progress this weekend!

1. Disconnect steal brake line coil from rear wheel with 3/8 line wrench
2. Straight line and push forward
3. Leaving rubber brake line connected to the line, pull on it to help move the steel line forward

I did find, on pacific trailers, where they said white was ground. Question answered. New question, use DOT-3 or DOT-4 fluid? The previous owner said They never put any brake fluid in the trailer. Not sure what would have been standard in 2009 from Yamaha. I guess the answer is to push fluid though until it looks clean and there are no bubbles.

Yep. Bleed them through until good clean fluid and no bubbles staring with the left then the right. I use DOT3 high temp synthetic. Need a buddy to run the bleed valve if you are going to pump the actuator with a screwdriver.

Will do. Found a screw in the tire while I had it off today. So I guess that was lucky?

I found one too checking tires before our last road trip to the lake in TN. Held my breath and pulled it out hoping it hadn’t gone through. Got lucky, but made darn sure the spare was fully inflated!

Lucky indeed! Yes, I guess while I have the jack and jack stands out I might as well check them all And check the spare. Good call.
