Adding a door hatch on the helm side

I noticed on my sx 195 there’s dead space between the helm and the bow seating area by pulling the cushion and looking under. I was thinking about cutting a hole and adding a door similar to the one that’s on the port side. It would be some nice extra storage space that can be used to put a cooler in there... Has anyone done this or thought about doing it?
