Hello, I am a new member and this is a mundane question. I have a Yamaha 40/30 that does NOT have electric adjustment to trim the motor. The bow is too low in the water and I want to raise it. It is so low that if I adjust the motor incorrectly, I am afraid it will be unsafe. Can someone with experience please tell me if I should move the jet pump closer to the transom or farther out from the transom to make the bow ride higher. Thank you

It's been a while since I've done this but pretty sure you need to raise the angle of the motor to bring the bow up. Ie move the lower part of the motor away from the transom.
