Hey guys... I have a 2014 AR210, and will be installing the full seadek package... (cockpit and swim platform). I know most people with the AR210 boats due the gray/grayish teak package based on the interior color. Has ANYONE done the mocha/teak colored seadek in an AR210.... wondering how it will look with the interior. I really like that colorway, as it looks the most like teak, but concerned on how it will look in my boat.

Advice?

After seeing it on other boats, I really like the non-teak pattern over the teak pattern. I can't help you on color, I'm not much of a designer.

Here is a picture of what I'm talking about as for the pattern, this isn't my boat. I have the same pattern on the swim deck of my Cobalt and like it much better than the teak pattern I put on my Yamaha before trading it in on the Cobalt.

Not the best pic, but this is my 2010 242 LS with the teak SeaDek and grey interior. It looks nice, but matching the cushions closer, might look better.

I have a 2014 242LS. I've always thought that the seats on my boat looked dark brown and white. When I first got my mocha over black SeaDek, my wife asked "does that really go with our gray seats?" Either way I think it looks great. Maybe you can get a sample of the color that you're considering from jetboatpilot.com. I'm taking my helm pad out this weekend - replacing it with the cushioned helm pad - and would be glad to send you the old one so you can have a larger sample (if I can get it out in one piece).

Can you show us a picture of your boat?

I figured out a solution. I ordered the optional pad from @JetBoatPilot that goes where the removable cushion step through space is in both colors to see what I like better. Figured I could sell/give the one I don't use to someone on here. Now we just need that group buy so I can do the whole boat!

Here's a couple pics of mine.

What's rough cost to do the whole boat?

I'm guessing I've got about $1,200 in it with all of the extras. I recently replaced the helm pad with the thicker padded mat, which is great if you stand while you drive like I do. There are several different styles that range in price. Check out jetboatpilot .com

We can sell it but must warn that due to many cases of melting in the cockpit the warranty is void when installing in the cockpit. The swim platform and some of the optional pieces don't have much issues, but the angle of the vertical fiberglass surfaces in the cockpit area has been causing some nasty melting problems. We've been able to replace the ones that have melted under warranty thus far but really try to advise that people do not use the chocolate in the cockpit.

the best alternative I've been able to come up with for the 2016 242 models is the Mica over Chocolate. Its a light tan over the factory chocolate color.

Do you know what the outside temperature was to cause the melting? I am in the DC area so it gets hot and humid, but we rarely see the upper 90's or into the triple digits. Otherwise I don't see a good option other than ripping up all of the other matting and going with another color.

We've seen the outside temps be in the low 90's and still see melting issues. It has more to do with the angle of light hitting the gelcoat than the ambient temperature. Now with that said, the melt issue does not seem to be a problem in winter months. I do know that customers who reside in Illinois have had similar melt issues with chocolate.

I don't mind selling it, I just cant warranty it if it melts.

I chose the grey camo seadek and am very happy with it. I think the teak looks better initially, but I knew my floor would take a beating with all the skis and boards on it. The camo hides everything and is holding up great. The white has turned a little grey but it still looks really good IMHO.

I had some pictures posted somewhere but can't find them.

@JetBoatPilot. I have the 242 Limited. Are these the colors you are having melting problems with? What are some other options that you like? I want to eventually switch to seadeck in the cockpit. IMG_3939.JPG

Damn. Glad I got grey over black. . . . .
