So I change my plugs today, which went well then decided to wash and clean up the boat. I notice the bimini top pipe extension is gone. WTF? Obviously slid out somehow and gone. Checking prices for a replacement and its $140.00! It's a freaking pipe. The bimini top has been a pain in the ass on this boat. I had to replace the cover, zippers and now this. Instead of spending $140.00 on a toy or accessory like a throttle sync, I have to spend it on this shit and get nothing in return.

Now I feel better.

Could you make one for less?

Do some searches online. You can buy the pipe and ends for probably $30 shipped. Search Bimini hardware

It is good to vent... perhaps we just need a venting category... for instance... I ... ... oh... not yet. this is your vent.

good luck with the pole.

I just changed my plugs for the 1st time all by myself... OK.. some would say big deal... but it was for me...

I have only used my Bimini once in a season and a half soley because it's such a PITA! Have the zipper issue now and have just learned to live with it. Good luck on finding a replacement. On the brighter side... At least you have a boat to enjoy! It could always be worse. Cheers.

What's the zipper issue?

Because of the shitty Bimini cover, it loosened up and allowed the bimini to flap thus destroying the zippers. I had to take it to a canvas shop to have them fixed plus buy a new cover. I might add the little pin that secures the poles at the rear of the wakeboard tower also failed. I ordered a new one from Yamaha Sports Plaza but was sent the wrong one and it doesn't fit. :(

@Murf'n'surf exactly! The material on the cover separated from both sides of the Bimini cover at the zipper. I will live with it until winter the. Maybe take it to a seamstress.

I'm putting this here for reference. I found a bimini manufacturer / repair guy here in eastern North Carolina. He is making me a replacement plus a spare bimini pipe. He gave me his permission to put his name and phone number on here as he doesn't have website, facebook, etc. Just all word of mouth. As far as cost, let's just say it's a LOT more resealable that what Yamaha wants.

I did post this on another thread as well, https://jetboaters.net/threads/bimini-pipe.7201/ but in case someone actually uses the search function (I know, crazy thought) and ends up here then the info will be here as well.
