We usually go to Laughlin (Lake Mohave) with the boat for 3-4 day outings. I do sometimes take the boat out to Elsinore for a pre season shake down. We have also taken the boat up to Lake San Antonio. We love that lake. We really haven't done too many day trips. It's usually a multi day vacation. But then again I've never had a fellow Jetboater just around the corner either. ;) How about you guys? Do you plan on venturing out of the Lake Elsinore area?

Just say the word Mel and I'll start searching for a great SoCal Yamaha boat for you. That way you can come hang out, test ride it and pick it up in "our" back yard. Then we can all read about your journey home. :) It would be fun

We DO plan on doing some traveling although my Silverado just past 201k.
She's still running strong and towing the Nauti Dawg like a champ. We put in at Elsinore when we first got back from Texas. We put in there twice but them we found Lake Perris. It's much larger, deeper and cleaner than Elsinore. It sucks cause we are literally 5 minutes from Elsinore too. They do an inspection for mussels at Lake Perris
And when you take the boat out they put a wire on your bow hook and trailer and as long as you don't put in elsewhere and break the wire, you cruise right through the next time you go without another inspection . Kind of a pain at first but so far it works for us.

It's been a long time since I've been to Lake Perris. I don't think I had a boat back then. We're going to be doing a lot of non boat related traveling this summer so I'm going to try and do more day outings this season. Perris and Elsinore would be our lakes of choice. Maybe we could meet up. I'd love to meet fellow Jetboaters and also the world famous Nauti Dawg.

Hi Cheryl, great to have you here.....take everything I say with a grain of salt ('cept the Hi Cheryl, great to have you here part) and anything I can help with, just shout.

Yeah, be careful, that Cheryl is a sailor! She can take it and dish it out! She grabbed the Dawg and made her dance!

@Glassman...Ha ha, thanks, my fellow South Bay local..I was born and raised in the South Bay, my parents still live right by El Camino College. Great to see a local here...and yeah, Mel is right..the guys at work say I talk like a sailor on leave...but I'll be nice and propper here...or I'll try. LOL

:eggonface:Uh...I was referring to your maritime skills!:)

LOL..thanks Mel! :)

Can't believe you got Mel's boat! So cool that it stayed in the family!
