Year 6, filters are prestine. Is there a life expectancy on these? What I mean, can they eventually come apart and get ingested if left in too long? Should they eventually just be replaced to be safe? No big deal?
I asked myself this question a year or so ago. And then someone mentioned, they are not in a dusty environment, so yes, they literally would have to fall apart.
I think an annual inspection is not out of the question. But at the price they want for them, I see no reason in changing them unless they truly fall apart. I have yet to see them dirty. Blowing out with very low pressure may be possible, but most advise against "blowing" out filters. But I think that's due to high pressure breaking apart the filter itself.
