Still have to pick up some wire, connectors, heat shrink and white silicone. Oh, some good weather would be nice!!

I use disposable puppy pads or incontinence pads to put on the floor of the engine compartment when I do an oil change.....that way the oil that drips is absorbed and contained....a neighbor taught me this trick decades ago, and gave me a stack of pads he'd bought at a thrift shop. I am just about out....Goodwill here I come!

A nice cold beer (purely for scientific reasons of course) to test out those new cup holders as you sit in your boat playing with your new led's

Make sure you have some kind of anti-seize for the spark plugs too. It wouldn't hurt to have some masking tape also for cutting the holes.

Also, I usually only get about 2.5 quarts per engine, so you'll have plenty extra. Bring a funnel, especially if your oil extractor has to be emptied during the process.

I agree with Dave. Bring some nice cool beverages to enjoy while your waiting for the oil to drain. Maybe some good music to check out how well the stereo's working too!!!

@Dave and @itsdgm ... don't know how I forgot refreshments!! A guy can work up quite a thurst doing things like this, thanks for the reminder and the tips!! I have saved a couple of empty gallon jugs for my old oil so I can take it in to be recycled. The anti-seize is a good idea, would've never thought of that one.

@Julian ... I will some of the absorbment pads we have here at the plant. They do a great job with some of the messy stuff we have here but thank you for the idea of the puppy pads.
