Figure some on here might be interested in this and others may have already figured this out but new to me. My very soon to be 15yo just got a full size echo for his bday from my father. He has his own amazon account and I would just trasfer money to his debit card for purchases I was paying for. He wanted to be able to link his new echo to my prime account for the music content and I wanted to be able to “drop in” on it. I was looking on my account settings page and on the bottom right was a teen program link. Low and behold works just like parental controls on an app store. He has now has restricted access to my account. He has all of the digital content and if he wants to make a purchase Amazon sends me a text that I simply need to reply with a “Y” and all done.

No wonder Jeff is worth 0.15 trillion. Now all he has to do is open amazon cell phone service, amazon internet, amazon bank, and amazon Insurance and make them all as easy as ordering from Amazon. Shoot Amazon Auto with one click and free two day delivery would be pretty cool too.

We could not figure out how to add our kids to our Prime - so that they would have access to Prime Music, for example, as well as Movies/video - on their own devices. We figured the "teen program" was just allowing them to make purchases...
Kate called the customer service and they told her even with Unlimited Music we still could not share music with kids.

We bought the 7yr old a use Galaxy S2 after his Kindle Kids Edition wore out. The "Freetime" app for kindle is junk compared to the "family link" setup that Google offers.

Basically I set the boy with his own Google account. Then set it up as a child account under the wife and I as parents. He has zero purchase authority, but can ask for apps, music, movies, etc digitally. It throws an alert on my device and I can approve or deny with a single click.

I have also added the wife and boy as family members to the Google library, they have access to all the purchases I've made on google, so long as I add them to the library.

I've been fairly impressed with it so far after the bad experience with the kindle.
