8 of us went to see American Sniper last night. We bought our tickets at noon for the 7pm show..Theater sold out in about 15 mins

Clint Eastwood and Bradley cooper nail it . Outstanding portrayal of Chris Kyle along with all the supporting roles. The movie followed the book well.

I seldom go to the theater, I'm glad I did for this one: At the end of the movie when the credits rolled and folks started walking out: It felt like you were leaving a good friends funeral. I NEVER saw a crowd more sober, silent and somber. I wasn't sure how they would capture the ending, it was done with respect and class.....

Go see it. It deserves the respectful reviews it is getting.

I knew it was a must see the first time I saw the trailer.
Been meaning to see it, but every weekend has got me running around somewhere else.

I just finished the book about an hour ago. I'm glad to see that his wife and other members made sure the movie was accurate and they didn't fluff any thing to make it more dramatic (if that could even be possible).

I'm anxious to see the movie.

I'm on page 260. Trying to finish so I can go see the movie with my Dad while he is in town this week.

Loved the book, Can't wait to go see the movie.

Book was fantastic, couldn't put it down. . . . . . . Movie TONIGHT!

If you liked his book try - No Easy Day, No Hero, and 13 Hours in Benghazi. Couldn't put them down either.

I know everyone has read Lone Survivor, but not many have read The Only Thing Worth Dying For, how Eleven Green Berets fought for a new......... I highly recommend.

Funny, I didn't list Lone Survivor as I figured everyone likely read it too. . . . Book was way better than the Movie, though the movie was good.

I have been looking for a new book, thanks for the suggestion @BigN8.

I agree, Great movie and i thought it was very realistic to how i remember Iraq and the door to door clearing in Fallujah and Ramadi

Saw it today with my Dad. Great movie. Very somber walking out.

We are going to go see it this Friday. I have been waiting for this.

Saw it on Tuesday night with two other Vets, we all agreed it was an absolutely AWESOME movie.

My wife and I got to see it Wednesday night since we already had sitters for the kids. We saw it in IMAX with an incredible sound system. It really put us in the movie. It was awesome! There were only about 20 people in this huge theater and it was total silence leaving. Somber but strange. I'm reading the book now and as usual there is much more detail and other stuff that wasn't in the movie at all.

Is there anything about beach balls in the movie?
I really was laughing out loud when I read that part...just wondering if it was in the movie.

I was telling my mom about it over the phone, as I am imaging seeing it in person and I was crying laughing and couldn't even really finish telling her. To me it was funny anyway, YHMV (Your Humor May Vary)

Saw it yesterday. Great movie! RESPECT TO THOSE THAT SERVE! God bless em!

Yeah, I was laughing out loud at the beach balls too!! My wife was like "what's going on?" Anyway, very good book but have yet to see the movie. Every time that wanted to go see it the place was sold out.
