Looking to mount my new amp (Wet Sounds SYN-DX6) in an AR195. I would like to place it in the rear starboard compartment. Ideally I would like to place it at the back wall in front of the pisser lines. See pic with mock-up board.

I know that heat is the enemy of amps, and these are hot water discharge lines, so does anyone have any reservations about this location? Alternatively I could mount it horizontally on the floor in front of these lines to avoid the heat, although that eats more into the storage space.

I’m trying to find a spot where the amp doesn’t seriously take away from gear storage.

I don’t think they’ll introduce enough heat to the amp to matter but I wouldn’t want to permanently cover a water hose anyway.

I mounted mine in the same compartment as the batteries and put my anchor and other gear on the other side to offset the weight where you are trying to put the amp

That is where I mounted mine. If I was just doing 1 amp without a sub I would probably have mounted it on the battery side of the boat.
