Amplifier remote wire

I have a 2017 Yamaha AR242 limited s And I'm looking to install an amplifier. I got behind the compartment wall and could not find a Standalone remote wire. I see a light blue wire coming out of the back of the radio and then a blue wire that appears to be a remote wire going from the speedometer all the way over to where some wires snake down the panel of the boat. Anybody have any idea what I should look for?

Should be the blue wire in that bundle wire coming from the head unit in the first pic.

That dark blue wire is not part of the audio system. It runsout of the back of the speedometer down to the side of the radio

I thought it was that, but not sure if it was the antenna wire

You will notice the blue wire @F.M. mentioned is hooked into the wiring harness but has nothing attached to it on the other end that is it. I currently have two amps and my trim tabs remote wires hooked to it with no issues.

Ok I figured since it came out of the back of the receiver and straight into the harness that it was no it. I'm used to dealing with car audio where the remote wire is not connected to anything. I guess I'll just have to tap into it. Thank you guys for all the help and feedback

I would highly suggest at least testing this on a meter first.

Any luck finding the manual to confirm? I just hooked mine up, but fortunately it was labeled and I found a manual online to confirm (my Sony was blue with white stripe).

This is to the factory uconnect system. Didn't find a manual. I'm probably going to go on the safer side second have it professionally done.

Literally do this and you will have your answer in minutes. This is what a professional will do.

I don't know if you have this unit but here is manual. On page 7 it shows remote amp trigger is B3 and blue.

What exactly does that amp remote do anyway? I was provided one with my manuals bundle when I bought the boat. I figure if it's important, they would have installed it from the factory.

Typically provides a 1a 12v signal that tells an amplifier to turn on.

did it work. I looked at the wiring behind the main head unit on the dash and see about 4 blue wires. Can't find a diagram anywhere.

There should only be one harness coming out of the head unit, and I believe mine only had a single blue wire - that's the REM lead.
