I'm looking for someone who has the Big Ass fan. It's made by Big Ass. They also have a Smart Ass fan. It senses when someone is in the room and turns on. I think it also senses temperature.

They also make a Big Ass light, but I just replaced all the lights in the warehouse with those new fluorescent lights. The ones the electric company is pushing, you know, the ones for which there are no replacements easily found? They suck you in with "Free" this and "Free" that - sure it didn't cost me a dime, but where can I find bulbs?

Now that summer is here we've got all these puny little fans buzzing around the place...I want to install Big Ass fans!

Check 'em out:

I don't have one, but this cracks me up!

We had two 24' BAFs in our shop in KS, they work great! Looks they are barely moving but they sure move a lot of air.
The first day I walked into the shop here in FL it was August last year and there was no air movement at all, there were some floor fans around making a lot of noise but wasn't helping any. We are waiting for the funding to get passed through the system to have 2 BaFs installed here, hopefully soon!

I don't have one sadly, but they are based here in Lexington, KY where I live. They are all over town in restaurants and warehouses, a great company to work for also ( I recently interviewed with them, fingers crossed on that one). Great workplace and American made products, can't beat that!

It's good to know, good luck, I hope you land that Big Ass job! :winkingthumbsup"

I recently built a hangar for our corporate planes and installed two fans similar to the BAF's made by RiteHite. Our engineers considered both options and decided to go with RiteHite.

They are ridiculous.

The gym I go to has one above part of the weight room. IT IS AWESOME. It obviously doesn't spin very fast, but man does it move some air. I'm always happy to get on a bench or platform underneath it, especially in the summer, since there's no AC.

I sat in the meeting in disbelief as the bid for 3 "Big Ass Fans" for various areas in our plant was nixed because of the name. We went with a brand that had a nicer sounding (I guess) name.

That HAS to be a Dilbert cartoon...

I'm in the Air Force and with all the political correctness and trying not to hurt ANYONE's feelings lately, I'm surprised the AF went with them for the name. They have us some BigAss hats and coozies, it cracks me up their logo is a Donkey!

The Volvo dealership my brother works at has the new slower ones. http://www.volvonorthfield.com/green-friendly.htm

The BMW dealership across the parking lot has the older ones without the RPM limiters that will turn the place into a wind tunnel. The installer showed them how to remove the rev limiters but they have been told not to touch it. Can't remember if it was liability or warranty but I know they were throwing stuff into the fast ones for science.

No, I just know some guys are Big Ass fans. I never understand, but hey.. The more that chase the pork, the more hotties left for me :)

They have a version they sell to churches and other "name sensitive" places that is without the badging. Other than the invoice, it would be possible that no one would know the supplier. Funny how decisions get made sometimes.
