All,
I appreciate the work that has been done on this topic already and wanted to help out if possible. My 2018 190FSH was leaky just like all the rest of them and I have finally figured out the culprit. I bought the boat used and it was my first boat so I didn’t know any better, but when I first put the boat in the water the bilge would kick on every 15 minutes and dump a gallon or so of water. After about 15 hours on the boat the bilge would kick on every six minutes and dump a ton of water! I cracked open the engine compartment and lo and behold water was streaming in through the screw hole that holds the live well pump to the floor of the compartment. I took the boat to a local boat repair facility as I didn’t feel like dealing with Yamaha on my compressed timeline and as soon as he was able to lift the boat off the bunks he confirmed that the screw had been driven all the way through the boat and out the bottom and into the bunk. For whatever reason the screw that yamaha used is unnecessarily long for holding that pump on to the point that one of them went all the way through. If you search for the Yamaha parts diagram it’s depicted in the live well drawings. “ Screw, Tapping 90167-10S16-00“ It’s the starboard screw out of the two.
