I'm looking to pull the trigger on a 2016 SX/AR 192 in the next few weeks. I had all but signed the paperwork this week. I had considered a used one but found they were very difficult to find in a location I was willing to take the trip for.
This week I found this: http://www.boattrader.com/listing/2014-Yamaha-AR192-683140
The guy seems pretty honest and it appears as if he has taken a lot of pride in his boat. My wife is from OKC (which is one reason I have considered this one) and we can take a look at it on our next trip there. However, he has even offered to possibly deliver it to us down in Houston on his next trip down to see his friends.
He has mentioned having applied Dynamat insulation to a lot of the panels, flame retardant insulation foam in the engine compartment, window tint, boat cover, and some other extras.
My question is two fold:
1. Besides the tower design and SeaDeck design, what (if any) are the differences from a 2016 vs. this 2014?
2. I would have to eventually upgrade to a galv trailer for salt use here on the Gulf, but with a $10k difference in price over a new one, that seems like a small issue. Is this a good buy?
I appreciate your advice more than you guys know as this is my FIRST watercraft.
