Is there any news on 2026 Yamaha 255xd’s yet? Any more ballasts? Anyone know any color schemes? Any news at all? If not, when will we find out? I’m hoping for a Red and Black one just like the 2025 27’ Red Black one.

Nothing will be leaked until the dealer show. In fact, dealers will take deposits on their supposed allocation, but will no know colors. Just don't mistake that for a deposit on an order, as they won't even know MSRP on the boat. It's a spot in line for whatever they get in their allocation.

It’s interesting it’s on a Monday 🤷🏼‍♂️… hope that this year there are some truly interesting new things coming out! There are two members here who probably know, but they’re doing a good job keeping quiet LOL!

It’s past 10 AM when it was supposed to be released, but this is on the website so we are probably getting close

10am at the dealer show, not to the public. Once they are presented, the dealers are allowed to start spilling the beans. The website will be updated afterwards

Well that’s stupid ….

29 foot surf boat $220,000 with no info about how much ballast just says it’s some superior ballast system. I wanna see the wave for 220k it better be as good as surf boats or close for 220k

Interesting they skipped 27 footer straight to 29.

The only thing I can think of is maybe they had to have a completely redesigned boat with a 29 foot size to make an amazing surf wave. I sure hope it’s amazing. I will definitely consider it.

Honestly, for $220k I would looking at different boats.
The whole reason Yamaha Wake series sell so well is their price.

The 29' has way better lines than the the 27' boats. I'm assuming that there's a head compartment it can accommodate an adult?

Honestly IMO, When I purchased my 2019 242Xe series, there was nothing out there that could touch it for the price. Fast forward 6 years and their pricing with features and some limitations of the jet system, these boats are not as great of a value anymore. For a few grand or 15, you can get a quality boat with a much better constructed Hull. I might seriously start looking at the Kyma (if I stay with a jet) or just by a Chaparral

It won't.

It's 7k lbs, plus the ballast they don't say how much.... powered by the same 160mm jets and 1.8s that the 4k lbs 255xd struggles to keep good speed control for surfing. This is laughable at best and at 220k is d.o.a for most.... but I'll bet they sell a few to unsuspecting fools with large wallets who don't plan to surf with it at all.

Typical yammy fashion i don't know what to believe, regardless... it ain't enough lol

What I did catch was posted in a previous thread - on the 29' boats they have "extended transom plates" and "redesigned pump mounts and impellers."

So, it's possible they redesigned the 160mm parts to put out a better thrust, but it's crazy frustrating that they don't tell us anything about these things, and instead say "well, it's go a toilet/bed and new windlass." Their marketing is terrible.
