So I got a survey from Yamaha on what graphics and colors Id like to see on future Yamahas. Not sure if it meant anything but it had different pics of graphics and colors to pick which ones I preferred and I noticed the markings on the side of the boat had RX242 or something like that. So I wonder if a new model is coming with the R designation because they all said it.

I got that survey last year, before the 18s came out.

Yea they had purple, bright green, aqua, yellow. More aggressive graphics. I'm not a huge fan of the colored towers.

So the models say rx240. Not sure if that means anything or if it's an updated version of the ar240. I see the tower is different.

The crazy colors remind me of late 80s through mid 90s jet ski colors.
O the horror.....

We went through this last year. They are just using the profile of the 242ls with different colors.
The 18 242x and 212x colors were in the survey last year.
The rx is probrably to not confuse with current models

I bet the "R" is for Ripping with twin SVHO engines.

R is for...Redesigned tower.

I want to know what is hanging down below the jet nozzle...

And where the hell is the keel/rudder?

I received and took the survey this past weekend. I don't have a jet boat, not yet anyway. I figured they chose me because I am a potential customer. They did have some pretty wild color combos. I also like the one that was all gold in color. I wouldn't buy the color for myself but I thought it was nice looking.
