I seen pictures on the forum of people that removed the center cushion over the engine hatch and replaced it with two small cushions so people could board without stepping on them. I contacted Jet Boat Pilot and they said the person they had that was doing the upholstery work has retired and they are no longer making this kit until further notice. Does anyone know of another place that makes a kit like this? I'm considering ordering the materials and trying to make the 2 cushions myself but wanted to see if anyone knew of another source.

Well shit. I wanted to get that too. I have not heard of any other businesses that does the Yamaha mod kits like that.

They were the only game in town for that mod as far as I've ever seen. Thats too bad really, I saw one in person once and it looked every bit dead on OEM.

Well dang. I saw @haknslash got one and I immediately showed my wife who gave me the go ahead. It's in my list of things to get done before the season starts. Now what do I do?

Yea it sucks they can't do it now but hopefully they can find someone else eventually. The materials were the same used on the OEM seats so they were a perfect match. AFAIK @JetBoatPilot were the only ones offering the kit.

We love the mod!

So just a thought......I was just looking at a Yamaha parts website. That entire back cushion is $230 ($280) with shipping. I would think if I purchased a whole new cushion, it comes with the bolts already attached and in the proper position to mount to the hatch. What I'm thinking is that I cut out the middle section of that seat and tuck the vinyl under and staple. Of course the pattern would be different but is there anything that may prevent that from being possible?

The other option is that I have a local vinyl shop that could create those 2 seats but I'm not sure how they would get the bolts lined up or get them to stay in place.

Thoughts?

I did this mod in my old 190 - great mod! I think I might still have the original cushion. The hulls of these boats are the same and it should be a perfect fit for those long through bolts - if you want to play with it. At any rate - you're welcome to have it, I'll double check tonight, it should be in great condition. You can have it for free, maybe just pay the shipping, or buy me a beer, lol.

So here is the cushion/seat, I will take it to USPS and/or Fedex/Kinkos tomorrow to inquire about shipping. I do not have a box or packaging materials to fit it in. I'll PM you to let you know what they say about shipping cost, hope it won't be much, but I have no idea!

Whatever the box and shipping is, I'll take it. Just let me know and I'll paypal it over to you. I'll PM you my address.

Here's a picture of my seat. The bolts are 24 1/2" across on the front and 22 3/4" across on the back. Are yours similar?

The shipping seems ridiculous...
Please check you PM.

Just responded. Perhaps USPS would be a better option but not sure they'd have packages that large.

@Banditgrrr Success!
PM send with shipping details. USPS rules.

You're definitely welcome! It's people like you that keep my faith in humanity. Chill and pour them is a beer glass and leave the last 1/2 inch or so in the bottle. This keeps the "trub" out of your glass. Hope you and the wife enjoy!

Once I get my SeaDek, I'll be modifying the seat and I'll take some pictures. Thank you again!

I am moving fowards with my custom boat kegerator as foam testing with an amber proved viable. Have all the parts and just need to install as part of my Spring 2018 mod fest once parts are in for the other mods. This darn forum is to blame. I am now thinking I might have to go with two taps and two kegs if space and amp hour draw allows. 1 for beer and 1 for mixed summer drink or shandy.
