Just change contol cable both and installed a new yamaha contol box 740 series. The shif work the buckets ok, but have no resone from throttle I put in forward and no throttle. When I installed the control and when attemping to connect the throttle cabl it was short so I swith the push pull around to meet the throttle cable put everythin back and still no throttle. On my boat the throtte cable goes right into the engine
The boat is a 2008 AR230

As you can see the system is very mechanical. When you pull the throttle cable, does your engine accelerate if running? There is a notch holding the cable in place at the bottom of the controls. Are you sure that's engaged?

If you push the black rubber button located in the middle of the lever, on the outside of the controls, in the round/circle section, it disengages the gate movement for that lever move, and you can concentrate on Throttle only while you figure it out.
