So I have had a Yamaha I bought from someone three years ago. Love the boat. Last season, I took it out and got rolling and a check engine light with AL code popped. Checked port clean outs and normal stuff….nothing. Got it out the water, on the trailer, and couldn’t duplicate issue.

Today I took it out for the first trip
Of the season. Everything was fine…..then got to around 3000 and kicked back into limp mode. Scared the hell out of me because I was rolling pretty good. I was able to turn off the alarm (it came back several times) and get back to my pier. I am racking my brain trying to figure this out. It scares the hell out of me…I have a one year old and she’s not going on this boat with that error code. No overheating, no issues with the bilge, brand new battery. Any ideas?

Make sure there are 2 streams of water peeing out the side of the boat when in the lake or on the hose.

Spiders like to nest especially in the intercooler pee hole during storage and block the flow on mine for some reason.

I would hope for that.
