Has anyone tried to place the table/pedestal into the bracket behind the drivers seat on the AR250? It doesn’t seem to fit. The table top hits the starboard cushion behind the driver seat...the cushion stops it from lining up with the pedestal

I’m wondering if I am doing something wrong...or if it is a bad design?

You have to move Captain chair forward and turn around and table goes long way. Looks like chair is against helm. Dumb if you ask me

Yeah the design is not too brite on their part. If you want a custom one I suggest you reach out to @HailMary he does custom work and the quality is fantastic. I ordered three different table legs this year for different purposes. He can also have them in different colors. I am sure he could fabricate one to go further out so you could turn it sideways.

Thanks for passing on this information. I will check this off as something I don’t like about the boat! Poor design...less than an inch and Yamaha could have had better usability!

I agree with this, poor location for table mount.

Question- Do you think it would work to purchase a separate table mount and mount under seat areas near battery switches?

That is where the 240 models put the table mount....works well for us.
(Not my photos....but you can see how it sits and where the mount is positioned)

I think that's what I will do...
Yup, near the batteries is the same location for our 212 as well - it allows everyone to be seated and access to the table. It makes passing the table a bit harder if you move/aft which is what I think Yamaha was trying to fix by putting it off to the side. It makes some sense but seems poorly implemented. Here's a pic of our cooler under the passenger seat and just behind is the holder for the table leg (click to enlarge):

Same goes for the swim platform where the leg is too tall to sit on the platform. We originally were thinking of getting a second leg and cutting it down to get a better height, but turns out we never use it on the platform because of s#!t-hawks targetting our food and no shade to help keep drinks cool. So we always set up the table under the bimini where it's "safe".
