No I just decided to not use the LEDs for now. Don't boat at night anyways. Thanks for the replyDo you have an LED controller?
Can you pick what color you want? Ha just realized you explained all of that in your response. Thanks for the heads upGot the same speakers, installed them a month ago. I don’t boat at night either but the lights look cool even in the day when looking at the speakers. If you do just want one color you don’t need a controller. Just run a 12v power and ground wire. If I remember it was power to the black wire, ground whatever color you want to to corresponding colored wire on the speaker. View attachment 123931

Why would they be dangling can't you seperate the individual colored wires and leave the ones you are not using inside the canUsually they come with a Red Green and Blue wire. Wire only the red wire for red, wire the red and blue wires for purple etc... Wire them all, and you get white. Once they're all wired, you can use the controller ($40 extra) to change colours.
Just ordered myself a pair of Kicker 6.5"s with LEDs! researched the hell out of them LOL. I only plan to use the blue lights for now, so the Red and Green wires will be dangling ?
I use that term loosely. They wont be dangling, but they won’t be wired in either. One day I’ll cave and buy a remote - then they’ll all be hooked up.Why would they be dangling can't you seperate the individual colored wires and leave the ones you are not using inside the can
Sorry to revisit this. But directly from the amp run a power and ground wire for just the one color?Got the same speakers, installed them a month ago. Technically you could... The LEDs would be on any time the amp is powered, I did this for just two speakers on my old boat. However you shouldn't be using your amp to power things. On my new boat I got a bus bar for all the speakers LED wires to go to then wired the power on the bus bar to a switch on the boat. I have not bought a LED controller yet so I have it wired so they are all blue at the moment.Sorry to revisit this. But directly from the amp run a power and ground wire for just the one color?
Ya I'm an idiot, I get the concept now...lol. just hook up whatever color you want in the can and be done with it. If all you want is 1 color obviously, made it way more difficult than it had to be. Just upgraded all my 6.5s to Wet Sounds so now I know!!!Technically you could... The LEDs would be on any time the amp is powered, I did this for just two speakers on my old boat.
