When I purchased the boat last May, I had the dealer install another set of Polk's mid cabin, 2 Aerial tower speakers and a WetSounds HT6. The HT6 powered the cabins and the tower while the bow was powered off the head unit. It sounded good - but I wasn't happy with the un-amped bow and the fader adjustment thru the headunit.
So this spring while my boat was coming out of winter storage, I asked my Yamaha guru (Andy from G&R Marine) to power all the inboats with the HT6, add a WS 10IB sub, and also add a WS HT4 amp. 2 channels of the HT4 for the tower and the other 2 bridged for the sub.
While we're at it - I wanted/needed zone control. I like the WS420 EQ, I like it alot, but I knew that it has way too many knobs and dials for my wife - I could see her messing with the adjustments every freakin time she goes to lower the volume - which she does every chance she gets.
So in an effort to keep everything as simple as possible, I had Andy install 3 PAC LC1 volume controls - the 1st is for the inboats, the 2nd for the tower, and the 3rd is for the sub.
The system sounds AMAZING. It has exceeded all my expectations. That WS sub THUMPS! What a huge difference. And the zone control works flawlessly. The wife loves it. Very happy with this.
