Hello All,
I recently bought a set of auto-inflate PFD from BASS-PRO. These units inflate when you hit the water and the "white" material in the bobbin (image below) dissolves. This releases a spring the pressure cylinder to be pierced and fills the life jacket. The re-arming kit is $25
question: Is anyone familiar with a non-dissolve able bobbin? allowing the vest to be a manual pull only?
The penalty for tipping over a kayak/canoe on a warm summer day when your in a cove 3 ft deep is expensive ! I have a pair of these used bobbins and was thinking of maybe potting one with epoxy or similar..(legal?)
