Here is a pick below one of the front carpet ....

i Just rush at my Marina and they will rebuilt the one that are broken ...

i did not want to call the dealer to knock price down on trade ... i figure will be less expensive that way.

And it is more that an hour of trailering at high speed and i did not want to take the chance that it break on route.

Had the Boat for 4years and Just saw that yesterday when one chirp of wood was pending down

This sucks. But rotten bunks are pretty easy to replace. You don’t want to do it yourself?

I don't have the Time.... and i want to get it done Quick because my new Boat as arrived...

if i would see Hit last year when wetslip i would have the Time to do it when the Boat is off

I use the plastic boards , termites don't like those.

That sure looks like termites did it

Yeah, that's a weird break pattern for a bunk. Usually it's more across the board than lengthwise....easy to replace. $13 for a board, $30 for carpet and some staples.

I know.... the timing of noticing it ....sucks
Two hour job max....2 beers if you go slow. No way I'd pay someone to do it - I'm too cheap!! LOL

I guess its a matter of perspective. I realize that the timing isn't great, but I say its good luck that you noticed it before trailering. It really would be a shitty day if the bunk broke while trailering.

In addition to the staples, I use contact cement with a roller on the carpet itself and the bunk, let it dry, place, and then staple underneath.

Similar here....3M 90 contact adhesive on the top and sides, staples every 2 inches on the bottom. Even if the bunk cracks it's not going to completely fall apart. Can always get it to where I need to in order to fix it up.
