Hello
I'm a newbie boat owner. 15 ft Sugar Sand Mirage. Been out on lakes so far and will be spending two weeks this summer at Lavallete.
Planning on bringing Bad Behavior with me. I'm looking for any info on boating in the area. Towing toys, Tices Shoals, fishing and any places to pull up and have lunch. Not planing on going anywhere near the ocean.
TIA

Wow, I spent most of my summers in Ocean Beach, just north of Lavalette. We used to boat up north around Sandy Hook. I can't provide any boating info around Lavalette though.

@bad_behavior I boat mostly in the Barnegat Bay and love it. We put in on LBI at the Ship Bottom ramp and then head north on the ICW to Tices Shoal. If you head up Toms River, there's a restaurant at the end. I think that there are also a few restaurants along the bay side of the bay as well.

I usually launch my boat in seaside and head to tices. Definetly a huge crowd there every weekend during the summer. U can head up the toms river and eat at water street or go through Lacey and go to captains inn or latitudes both have slips.

If cross the bay and get thirsty, this place is a great local haunt. Wear bug spray as the greenheads are nasty. http://www.mottscreekinn.net
