Batteries low voltage alert

Took my 2018 AR 240 for it's first ride. After an hour or so the system started to alert me of both batteries low voltage!

I have wetsounsd upgrade on the boat (2 amps, tower speakers, controller, equalizer, etc)

Checked the connections and found one wire not connected to the negative ground. Will it be the problem affecting the charging of batteries?

I developed the same problem a few years and many mods in. My boat came with a short negative cable unattached. After some reading here I found that this was to tie the two batteries together , negative to negative. I haven’t seen a low voltage warning in the years since.

Looking at the pic, you need to attach that lead, I don’t recall the exact function but believe it’s a sensor that is needed for the system to determine what battery to charge and/or whether the system is charging or maintaining the batteries.
