So new to me AR has a switch and duals which is great just not sure on usage and operation. Always combine except when chilling out where I leave it on 1?

I installed a second battery. So factory installed switch had to be replaced as it was a simple on/off function designed for a single battery. The new switch is designed specifically for a two battery operation. It can isolate each battery, or run them both. I use position one only to start engine. When boat engine is running I switch to the “all” position to charge both batteries simultaneously while under way. And switch to the numbr 2 position for while at anchor with engine off for the radio. I repeat same sequence each time I start engine. If you had three batteries you would need a switch that can isolate all three and etc. only thing I wish I did differently was place the switch in a more convenient location. As often as I use the switch it is inconvenient to remove seat cushion. I think Yamaha could have designed the location better.

Looks like the switch is a blue seas that keeps both batteries seperate for starting but charges with the acr. Set it to ON. Set it to combine only if there is problem starting with the start battery.

Ok I'm lost. First bo as t with batt switch. I... 2... all. I thought one battery was for starting boat, other is stereo. Please tell me all is running charging both batteries. When I stop and switch which positions runs the stereo so I can b sure got batt for starting.
