Looking for what y’all have the best luck with as far as fenders go.

I actually used my Sentry set I got for Christmas last week (when I had the boat off to bleed the brakes on the trailer). I was fairly favorably impressed.... I do recommend them. Very versatile. I hung the mid one on the cleat and just looped the dock line through the fore and aft ones. Worked fine and was very simple.

I am looking at those I just worry as I deal with tide and current

As to tides, the fact that you can run the dock line through the fender actually helps a lot. Basically, that allows your fender to move up/down with the tides, if that is what you want...

Sentry. With that said. if you order, call them (they're out of Minnesota) and see if you can order the "B" stock. I posted a few months back about a sale they were having on their "B" stock, they were almost 1/2 off. A bunch of us ordered, I got 4 of the Blue ones, and not a damn thing wrong as far as I could tell. It's worth a shot to save you some cash.

Will do for sure. Sounds like the way to go. Thank you

I ended up getting 3 b stock fenders. Thanks for the info.

For the new boat I'm going with exile audio buoy balls that inflate to 18". You can get cheaper ones by ordering kids hippity hop balls with the handle. @DBamaC uses the kids hippity hop balls and they do a good job. The great thing about these balls is that when you're done you simply deflate them if you want to regain your storage space.

Here's the same type of balls for kids called hippity hop balls. They come in all sorts of kids colors, some with graphics and kids designs, but the point is they can inflate really big very easily and offer a lot of spacing from you and the thing next to you.

Missionboatgear Sentry fenders are something I'd use around a dock in a relatively calm area but I would not trust them to protect my boat in rough water especially if tied to another boat. They look cool and all but they don't stick out far enough from the boat to make me feel comfortable plus they look easy to squish. I used 8" round fenders in my AR192 and still suffered minor damage from docks or boats, so I just don't see these sticking out enough to really protect the boat when a wake boat or swell goes by. They look to offer about the same protection as running these cheaper hull hugging Yamaha fenders, which I'd also be scared to use. If you have wakeboard racks that don't fold in you need to make sure your fenders extend BEYOND the wakeboard racks if you plan to tie up to any boats. Trust me, wakeboard racks will do a number on your tower if you come in contact with them.

This was caused by a nail on a dock even with using three 8" fenders. I actually had a lot more damage from the nail but it was hidden by my registration numbers. Once I removed the stickers prepping my boat for trade-in and I saw how the nail did one hell of a number on my hull I made the decision right then that I'm going to run massive 18" balls (lol) on the next boat to protect it even further out from a dock or tied up boat.

About those Sentry fenders, never heard of them.... went to Amazon and read some reviews there. Sounds like they are hit or miss for some folks. Issues with the clips coming off and the straps loosening. I would trust people here more than Amazon, but I have to assume people buying them on Amazon are boat owners and aren't 100% clueless either.....?????

I read those reviews as well. The straps seem to be an issue if you don’t push down on the top to lock them.

Got the sentrys today. Got b stock but look perfect. Let y’all know how they work.

Mission boat gear sentry product is excellent. The shape of the bumper is perfect and always stays in place to protect your boat.
