Best way to mount stuff inside storage compartments?

I'm looking for some pointers on the best method to mount things to the inside of the storage compartments underneath the seats. The walls are less than a 1/4 thick in some areas so a person has to be very careful not to punch through.
 
If you are looking more permanent I would say 3M double sided tape, if you are looking to just keep things in their place until you need them, Velcro
 
Similar to @Bruce, I used structural adhesive to attach pressure treated 2x2, then fastened to that with ss wood screws. I removed the carpet lining where I used adhesive.
 
Agree with both above... And if you want it to look really clean...put some speaker box carpet on the plywood and wrap it around to the back edges staple or use spray adhesive, then screw your amp to it..
 
Till the glue ages and you hadn't cleaned the wall good enough and it falls off during a choppy day.
you can do something like that, but if you can screw in a bracket to the floor somehow you are in much better shape
