Did you guys get the canvas wraps that go around the bimini poles with stored? I had them on my old 230, but didn't get any with the 240...I am pretty sure I have seen pictures on them on the 240's. I doubt they use them on the AR or the 242LS...but probably on the 242 Limited. Anyway, canvas wraps with velcro closure? Also, did yours come with any padding to go on under the canvas wraps?

Bump for a little help...

I got two big wraps that go around the Bimini top to reduce rubbing when the Bimini is folded all the way down.

Is this what you are referring to?

Yes! Got pics? Got to give the dealer more to go on, he didn't appear to know what I was asking.

I don't think that is what he is talking about...the foot or so long Velcro wrapped things you put around the base of the Bimini to protect the boat while the Bimini is down and resting on the gel coat.

Sorry, don't have pictures as the boat is three hours away.

I need pics...somebody help me! Lol

Sorry Mel, the 242 has the straps sewn into the Bimini Boot (cover) and they have the plastic buckles. I'll see if my Google fu is up to snuff for the task.

@txav8r This?

That looks like a 230, and I have pics of the canvas cover with velcro...I was wanting the picture of the 240 so you can see it is a padded cover. I think Alysha posted a picture of hers but I may have to crop it!!!:arghh:

got it...but I had to crop a pic...bimini hinge covers.jpg

Look at that, @Alysha's first few days on the site, and she's already been a huge help!

The peril of having the AR is that I am of no help. But I can suggest you replace the whole getup with a tower... :)

Glad I could help, BUT I only have one of those now. The other one blew off coming down the interstate. :(

So, I'd like to know what they're called, too... so I can look it up and buy another one.

I should get some info on that soon alysha!

My bimini came from Yamaha with little stand-off legs for when the bimini is in storage. Looks like they stopped having them in 2007. I thought it was a nice feature. Should be pretty easy to add with standard bimini pole parts.

Yep that's what Magic has too...

Never knew they discontinued them. They are very handy and very secure!

The mooring and trailering cover would not fit, if you had the standoffs...it is very tight!
