Was cruising around this weekend and one of the bimini top latch pins broke off. Is this a common issue? I can probably find one on a container ship in the Sea of Japan. SMH

Got a picture of what you are referring to?

lots of bimini parts on amazon

Looked on Amazon…my top uses a ball and socket attachment. The pin has a half moon recess in it to lock the arm in place.

How did those pins break?

When I bought mine the ball ends on the bimini were very bent from some kind of accident & the pins seem fine.

The ring that turns the pin is what broke off, and then the pin fell out. If I had the pin, I could make my own lever.

$46 on partizilla and eBay
Thanks, I ordered the last one. Now I’ll have an extra port bracket. I’m going to check the other ones, and modify the rings. A good key ring should work.

Better check mine. That’s not a cheap piece to lose.

Ya I had one of my rings fall off too, need to get that part over the winter. I used a nail and and bent it so I could still turn the pin for the whole summer ...lol. do you know the part # for the ring?

Taco marine makes those. Pretty sure that's who supplies Yamaha
Taco Marine

When I looked it up on Yamaha's parts list, it's not serviced separately

Only $25 for the whole mount on that TACO site. That is a great find.

I didn't make sure my bimini connecting arm was clicked in to the main bimini frame and the whole connecting piece went in the lake. The Taco marine parts are a perfect match.

Taylor Marine who makes the windshields also makes these parts, but I think Taco was a little less expensive.

I bought some clips for my bimini from taco marine after having no luck finding them anywhere- yamaha didn't list them separately and wanted to sell me the pole $150 to get the oem clip. I searched and searched for them because I knew yamaha bought them from somewhere- just wish they would point you in the right direction though- oh the clips were $3 so i bought a few extra.

I did the same thing on my first trip out a few seasons ago. Got the ball from the taco marine and the tubing from west marine for 1/2 what Yamaha wanted. And still have 4 foot of tubing left ..lol
