I have a question about the main mounting bracket for the bimini top frame.
Mine seems to have a swivel mount or quick disconnect that will not stay holding in rough seas.
does anyone know where I can buy a replacement or have any idea on how to fix the one I have?
Please let me know, thank you.
Rick J

can you give us a picture of the piece your talking about, being a 2004 it could be you have an aftermarket modification,

.

When I bought the boat, it was only 4 years old, so I sort of doubt it's an aftermarket but looking at the pictures of the replacement parts, I can't seem to find it. It's totally different from what's shown, number 27, different from what I have. Mine looks to be a female locking hole that has a metal part that moves to allow it to accept the male end of the bimini. The boat is up at it's dry dock and I won't be going up there for a few days.
sorry, no pictures

if you look right after the mounting screw on the left side, you can see the small metal part that slides and opens up the female end so the frame can be mounted in the hole. Hope this helps, I think I need a new mounting braket, #27 so to speak.1599920776583.png

You should be able to go on Amazon and find one. Just measure the hole size or the insert pin size for getting the right one.

A lot of swivel bimini bases with a search. Our 07 AR230 has extending poles on each side that allows you to colapse the poles and clear the tower when putting up or taking down the bimini. There used to be a spring loaded locking push button on the poles to lock into the hole while bimini is up. My push buttons were missing and I use 1/4" S.S.pins, drilled thru the tubing to hold the bimini up. Not exactly sure what you are looking for, but I found these that may fit.
