Just was wondering what everyone thinks of the Bimini Tops having to many bars and not looking clean. I was hoping for the top to be able to connect with wake tower and not having the other bars all over. Would look so much cleaner. Any tips or thoughts on it?

I think there is a certain physics to it.

Yes, you can do without the parts you circled, but then you need to have a top that has a lot more structure (like some of the Yamaha FSH models). If you want the benefit of the thin tubes running back to the tower like that, a side effect is that you have to have something running forward to pull the thing taught...

You could remove the offending poles, but then you would have to replace them with straps to fill the same function. Most people considered the poles an upgrade to the straps. Different biminis for different ... people.

Ya I totally get that. Prob at booze cruise speeds you can get away with it. But if you wanna light it up just toss on the poles. I guess just make the benefits to both.
Found this pic and looks so much better.

That was one of the con's on our list when we were shopping around at various brands and models - we didn't want poles or straps on our bimini out front as we had that already on our I/O prop with an aftermarket bimini. The forward swept tower was the only type we wanted.

I'm guessing the fold-back tower biminis can be left open at WOT since they're held forward and down? If we're going to rip around fast, we wrap up our bimini as it's rated to 45mph. It might be ok at 50+ but I don't want to damage it or have a part fail and have pole pieces flying into people on the boat.
