I am planning on doing a Bimini trip next year. I have never done one and would like to know from people that have gone what I should bring, time of year best to go, best places to see, best place to stay, and just general information that I would need since I have never been.

Spring break next year is when I am thinking of going but I am not sure. Is that a good time to cross? Will my 212 SS make it? What kind of supplies do I need?

thanks,
Jim

March and April are spotty it can be good or real bad the are still a lot of storms and weather coming from the north that time of year which can make the gulf stream rough.

WOW! That link has all the information you could ever want!!! Good to know about that Gulf Stream. I figure if weather is bad that we could wait it out a day or so before heading there or back right?

Having flexible dates would help but there are times of the year when our boats simply cannot cross. I believe that @tim h crossed in 9 foot seas in his 31' or larger boat earlier this year. June and July are the best times of the year for small boat crossings.

I'm definite going next year.

Love the low profile windshield btw... but I may be biased!
#bimini2016 here we come!!!!
Now we just need dates...

We are definitely in for the #bimini2016 trip!!! I am super excited about going on this one!!!
