We are supposed to pick up our new AR250 this next week but we don’t have a boat cover for it. Any suggestions of where we could look? Where did people buy boat covers for their previous year’s AR 240s?

It doesn’t come with one???? Ask for the shipping cover that it came with.

@haolegirl70 Also make sure with the shipping cover, that you get the shipping brackets for the tower. That way if you are going to go long distance with tower down or store it for long periods with tower down, you can put brackets in and the bolts and it will be supported there.

Don't let them give you the run around BS that they threw your cover out with the brackets. Some dealers say they threw them out and just E-bay them for a few hundred bucks or some of their staff do. I have been told this from someone whom used to do it and worked for a dealership.

No, it doesn't come with one and the Yamaha covers won't be out until November AND they want anywhere from $700 to $1000 depending on who you ask. The shipping cover didn't survive the trip unfortunately because that was our plan to use it.

Shipping cover didn't survive the trip. Apparently, it was shredded.

Where are you located and who's your dealer. That's great news you're getting a 25-series...they must really be shipping now! I'm waiting on a 252S in the Maryland/DC area.

The shipping cover is very durable. That sucks. Not even sure if Yamaha has the mooring covers out for the 25' footers yet. Couldn't find it.

I would ask for a new shipping cover, it is supposed to come with the boat. As for the mooring cover, they are a bit expensive, but well worth the fit, and protecting your investment, so I went that route.

Yamaha asked them to ship the damaged cover back because they want to know why it didn't make it.

Ok have them send you a new one. Smells a bit fishy, probably already sold on ebay

I would put my foot down. Otherwise you are leaving with your 60k+ boat and no cover. I don't leave my boat uncovered at all over night. At the very least they can knock $1000 off or kick it back to you or give you a mooring cover. Them not having the shipping cover is not your problem it is theirs.
