I have a 212X and planning to put the name on the back. We have the name in mind already but some people suggested to me that a boat that size doesn't need a name. What are your thoughts on the subject?

I am going to do it anyway and I am looking for a good boat lettering website that offers a good quality product and a wide selection of fonts to select from.

I welcome your recommendations and your option on if a boat this size should have a name.

Mine is only a 19 and I was excited to throw a name on it...1546C32E-62AB-402D-B92F-47C29D1594B1.jpeg

First, who gives a sh$t what other people say. :D I believe how you treat the boat is how others will treat it. Keep beautiful and take good care of it and your family and guests will too. Giving it a name makes it more special to you so others will treat it more special as well. :winkingthumbsup"

I used https://www.customvinyllettering.net/boat/ and not too spendy and was very happy with them. Didn't like the spacing in real life once I got it, emailed them, no problem - manually adjusted it and reprinted/resent it for me no charge.

I named my 19' (see sig below). I used a local auto trim place that matched the font layout and color to the stock graphics. It looks like it came from the factory. They did my reg numbers in the same way.

Find a local vehicle graphic company they can install it, and do any type of lettering/color probably 100-200 cost

Absolutly give her a name. This is who we have used for custom vinyl graphics for two boats. https://boatletteringtoyou.com/
Just received these this week for our sailboat. Waiting to install until after the renaming ceremony.

Zipper,

What size lettering did you use? My '09 has the same configuration so I've been trying to decide what I should use once I pull the warning stickers off.

Thanks,
Josh

@AlphaKap I'll find out if they need extra. One of the dads and fellow assistant coaches on my sons tee ball team is helping film the movie. He has crazy work hours due to production needs.

The dinghy on our 40ft Trawler even has a name! Size of boat is irrelevant. I'm only 4' 11"... so thankfully we don't apply that to people or I wouldn't have a name lol!
2018 AR190, working with a neat site that really lets you get creative for a decent price. boat decals.biz NautiNurse1F.JPG

40' Trawler?

A trawler was traditionally a type of fishing boat. Ours is 40ft, built in 1977, with two living quarters and full galley. My father is a retired sea captain and 5-6 months out of the year lives aboard and travels to different locations in south Florida to spend the winter. She's got some real neat character.
