I do not know if it is just some of the people around here, ya probably is...but why does it take longer to launch/land a jet ski than my ar230? I have been stuck behind more than a few. It can not be that difficult. Maybe a minute at the ramp and a few at the dock as I park/get the truck.
Last summer I was headed in to retrieve the boat, as I came into the area of the ramp there was a double ski trailer backed into the water taking up over half the ramp. One ski was tied to the dock on the ramp side about 6 feet from the trailer, the other one was being man handled in the water around the trailer trying to get it on.I do not know if it is just some of the people around here, ya probably is...but why does it take longer to launch/land a jet ski than my ar230? I have a shovel JUST like that! Prefer the flat blade over the pointed blade so as to prevent serious injury
Well last summer you must have been in Vermont. Ditto, one of my observations was exactly as you described.Last summer I was headed in to retrieve the boat, as I came into the area of the ramp there was a double ski trailer backed into the water taking up over half the ramp. One ski was tied to the dock on the ramp side about 6 feet from the trailer, the other one was being man handled in the water around the trailer trying to get it on.
I docked the boat on the opposite side of the ramp, it's a long dock that really isn't close enough to the ramp to walk a boat into a trailer, it's just close to the ramp, I got out and walked to the parking lot got my truck and got ready to back down the ramp thinking they would be done by then. They still didn't have the first one on the trailer:-/
So I backed down beside them, went over and got the boat and drove up on the trailer, as I finished tightening the winch the one guy said "man, you did that quick...and by yourself!".
I told him I had a lot of practice and asked if they needed help, "nah, we'll get it eventually".
My wife asked me when I got in the truck why it was taking them so long to load jetskis. I have no idea
Use a pitch fork they may bet the point quicker. If I don't have a shovel do you think I could use a spade? (If only)
