So my chance to get to the Keys got derailed. Sort of. My wife booked a vacation house for us and friends in Siesta Key

("Why you sad Hon...We're still going to a Key?")

Anyone boat of live in Siesta Key? Is it worth it for me to drag my boat from 511 miles from Augusta GA just to boat there?
 
We are renting a house with a boat lift for two weeks there next year. I am definitely dragging our boat down. I have been to that area many times but have yet to boat there. From what I have seen, and from talking to other people, there are some beautiful boating spots all over that area.
