We recently purchased a house on the lake where I grew up and where we do most of our boating. Going thru the house and renovating for the next few months but that didn't stop me from ordering a dock and lift for my favorite toy :-). Going to be a great summer...IMG_1198.JPG IMG_1216.JPG

That is absolutely awesome. Enjoy!

That is awesome!!! Congrats! I am sure you guys will love it.

Very nice! Congrats! We just recently did the same thing and being able to go for a quick wakeboard run or otherwise drop the boat in on a whim is priceless!

Congrats. You are just living the dream!

Sweet! All you need is a palm tree and some sand! Time to call Home Depot!!!

Palm trees. Hmmm. . The waterfront hadn't been used for many years as it was an elderly lady who lived there. Some nice beach sand is in the works. Working out the kinks of driving on the lift. It looks mighty narrow as the boat approaches.

Beautiful setup. Congrats

Beautiful place! That lift does look a little narrow. Can you pad the 4 corners and maybe some guide poles to extend them? I can't tell by the pics just how narrow, but it looks like you can't see it once your over it. What reference do you have for centering both longitudinally and laterally?

The lift is 120". That gives me 9 inches on either side. I think I'll go with some type of padding on the back two corners. By the time I get near the front the bunks have grabbed the hull similar to a trailer. I've ordered some 8.5 inch fenders so on windy days I can come into the dock which is less stressful

That looks like a beautiful setup. I am green with envy.

Congratulations!

Thanks all for the congrats. Couldn't end the thread w/o one more pic of this awesome boat in my favorite picture taking location.Boat.jpg

Welcome and congrats on the new boat. :Welcome:

If ya wanna eliminate DAMAGE to your hull AND gel coat ........
My advice from from using vertical lifts for several years is this:

STOP "DRIVING" it on !
You MUST "float" it on.

Your choice .......... Expensive, embarrassing, time-consuming both HULL and GEL COAT damage ……
Or

Taking a few more seconds and “FLOATING” your boat onto the lift.

The pre-emptive word here is “FLOATING.”

We see the damages (and many times VERY expensive, from boat owners, and on Lake Lanier, who let their car egos get in the way of common sense. And who feel if they can pilot their Mercedes S class anywhere in the garage they want, they can do the same with a boat, and in the same short time frame. They quickly learn they cannot. And it’s an expensive lesson.

Nice boat, great lift. Wishing you a wonderful 2015 boating season !
