We visited Copenhagen last Fall and I finally got around to uploading the pictures to my computer. We rented a boat and drove some canals around town. I took a few pictures of boats I thought were interesting. Enjoy!

And be sure to share any pictures you have of interesting boats from foreign places.

Europeans always seem to take the fun out of everything.

"Hey, how could we make boating look boring and unexciting?"
"Let me show you Denmark..."

what? I guess I of the beholder kind of thing. Those boats look amazing.

@Volffas, you will enjoy Venice as there is no where else like it. Here is a repost of some of the workboats from our trip to Venice, a couple of months ago:

Water taxis are everywhere, and I understand a single trip is about $85:

A weekly pass on the Vaporetto (public transportation) for about the same money ($85):

You will probably find large crowds in Venice, but make sure you visit St Mark's Basilica:

All of the Basilica’s decoration is with mosaics! While at St. Mark‘s, make sure you also see the four gilded bronze horse were among the early spoils brought from Constantinople after the Fourth Crusade. The life-size horses are from the 2nd or 3rd century and use to adorn the outside of the church, but are now located inside, on the second floor. The best way to see St. Mark’s and Doge’s Palace (next door) is with a tour. We had a great tour with Walks City Experiences (and Mose, our guide.)

Hope you enjoy Venice, it was definitely one of the high-lights of our trip!

We took private tours to all the places we went. That is by far the best way to tour. The boats are amazing in Venice, no cars. We took a train from Rome to Venice and used the water taxies several times. The ride to the airport was on a water taxi too! Even the garbage trucks are boats. You will enjoy your stay! Ask the locals for the best places to eat.
